Title-less

Hi! Welcome to my blog. My name's not Bebiche by the way. That's just a name a friend of mine gave to a baby orang utan. Namely, this orang utan.

It's an orang utan I took a picture of at a wilderness preserve. Cute, isn't it? My friend went so gaga over it that he decided to name it 'Bebiche.' Sometimes I wonder what that guy is on... Ha ha ha.

Anyway, this is my new blog. I shut down my other blog 'cause, well, I never updated it. This is my new one and, like in my old one, my first post shall be about my school. Or should I say, 'former school'?

You see, I just finished high school. Hence why I used the word 'former'. When I was in school, I always thought to myself, "When is this torture going to end?!" But now that I'm done with school, I sort of miss it. Just the school days and not the school itself. Don't misunderstand me. I have my own reasons why I don't quite like the school. Anyway, back to the point. My school, or rather, the school administrators, pride themselves on their school's 'originality' and 'individuality'. Or, at least, they'd like to think they do. But I do have proof that contradicts what they put so much pride in.
  1. Their so-called 'originality' and 'individuality'.
  2. And also their school logo.
No offense to my school, though. I do love my school in my own way but I just don't like how they put off everything as their own. The truth will prevail.

I bet you all are confused, huh? Well, before I explain myself, let me give you a little history lesson.

My school was set up in the 1970's. Specifically, in the year 1977. It started off with about 13 teachers and 320 students. This is my school's logo:-

The logo itself has many meanings. I shall tell you what they mean.

The Shield
- The shield represents the mental and physical durability of a student which will, in time, determine the student's achievements. Meaning, if they're smart and stuff, they can go the distance, etc etc...

The Black Circle in the Middle
- It represents the ... surroundings?... in one's life. DON'T LAUGH AT MY TRANSLATION.

The Lamp
- Represents the student's knowledge which will determine his/her future.

Yellow
- Represents the discipline of the students and the teachers.

Blue
- It represents self esteem and respect which will produce a peaceful atmosphere to study and teach in.

Now, I have no doubt at all that the person who did this and gave the logo a meaning meant well. All I'm saying is that... Well, let me just show you.

Now, to show you people what I mean, I'll need to shed some light on a certain movement, Scripture Union. The Scripture Union was founded by Josiah Spiers in the year 1867. The SU's goal is to reach out to everyone and use the Bible to inspire them. In a nutshell, it's a Christian movement. The SU was only registered under the Society Act in 1961, which means that the movement had existed way before my school did. Now, take a look at the SU's symbol.

Don't mind the comic in the background. Look at the symbol.

I flipped my school's logo around. Do you see the similarity? I do. And with that, I bid you all adieu. I wanna eat lunch. BYE

Crystal~
